The NFL's winningest coaches
Cold, Hard Football Facts for August 22, 2006
The list is limited to only those coaches with 100 or more career games on their résumés.
Elias's list is inaccurate because it calculates winning percentages using three different formulas. The Cold, Hard Football Facts list is accurate because it uses the same calculation for everybody. You'll notice that the Elias method inflates the winning percentage of coaches whose careers began before 1972. (Italics indicate winning percentages that are incorrect or coaches who are listed in the wrong order.)
